Spanish Clover
Spanish Clover belongs to the Fabaceae (pea) family and can be found along roadsides, in dry meadows, coastal forests, and mountain plains. This legume often moves into traumitized ecosystems and helps to restabilize disturbed terrain. The small flowers will bloom for one day and then set a fruit pod. The flowers open as white blooms with yellow tips that fade to pink as the day wears into the evening. Spanish Clover is known for its trifoliolate leaves and hairy stems.
