Silver Falls Seed Company is a Northwest company located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.
Our goal is to bring you products straight from our farm to your doorstep. We want to get you the highest quality for the lowest price with out paying extra for the fancy gimmicks and fillers. You will be hard pressed to find some of the products we offer in stores of this quality, quantity and freshness. We are offering you wildflowers, cool season grasses, pasture grass, grains, legumes, native seeds, and daylilies for your projects. With our knowledge to help you have success.
Here at Silver Falls seed we have 5 generations of experience in growing the seeds we sell. Most of us at Silver Falls Seed have come from a seed producing farm background to be able to help you with exactly what you need help with.
Most of the crops we offer we have been grown by us on our family farm. We have direct ties with other growers to be able to add more products to our list.
Whenever possible we like to offer the crops that are grown here in Oregon so we know you are getting premium quality.
We want to make sure you succeed in growing your lawn and garden. We will try to walk you through the steps it takes to help you achieve the beautiful yard and garden you are after. We cannot guarantee your success due to variable soil, weather and preparation conditions, but we will try to help you for the best success.
Whether you have a pasture or paddock you are going to improve or are wanting to enhance a wildlife project your are working on, we have the seed, plants and some of the tools it takes to get these projects accomplished.
If you have an erosion problem, or think you are going to have one when doing construction or other types of soil or water projects, we have blends of seeds for short-term erosion control and long-term control to help hold those soils.
In todays high speed competitive markets in the agricultural world we have had the buy out, mergers and bankruptcies that have caused the loss of millions of dollars in losses to growers in an over productive market. This has left very little choices of other crops to grow. We have forgotten how we got to be where we are in todays world. We have entered in to the world of free trade with out looking at the whole picture sometimes. There is nothing wrong with this if we are all on the same playing field with everybody starting at the same place.
We however can not compete when our dollar is higher in value. We have rules and regulations on environment, manufacturing, processing and labor that are not held at the same standards in other countries as here. People in these other countries are also paid considerably less.
I hope that when you are given the facts that you will support us by purchasing our products that are produced in the U.S.A and help another American farm family survive through these changing times by purchasing their products.
By you planting and using these products is just one of the way’s you can do your part and help control pollution and produce oxygen. Growing plants also filter the rain and soils and return nutrients back into the earth and control erosion. These plants, when taken care of, will produce fresh air, add color and give you self-satisfaction for your efforts and piece of mind.
Working with a group of farmers, we were able to come up with many products that we can to offer to you. We feel that these products will be a benefit to the environment and to you, the consumer.
